    Klemens Murańka Retires from Ski Jumping After 23 Years

    After an illustrious 23-year career, Polish ski jumper Klemens Murańka has announced his retirement at the age of 30. Murańka’s decision, shared via Instagram, marks the end of a journey filled with dedication and success in the world of ski jumping. His most notable achievements include three podium finishes in World Cup team events and a bronze medal at the 2015 World Championships in Falun.

    Individual and Team Achievements

    Though he shined in team competitions, Murańka also made his mark individually, with his closest brush with the World Cup podium coming in Willingen in 2021, where he finished fourth. Additionally, he claimed four medals at the Junior World Championships, solidifying his place as one of Poland’s prominent ski jumpers.

    In his farewell message, Murańka expressed deep gratitude to his fans, sponsors, and especially his family, acknowledging their support throughout his career. He reflected on the many unforgettable moments in his journey and the challenges he overcame, emphasizing the significant role his loved ones played.

    Murańka made his World Cup debut in 2011 in Zakopane and competed for the last time in February 2024 in Sapporo.
