KO politicians and their allies race to attack Trump: “For these people the U.S. is the enemy”

Giertych, Lis and Sienkiewicz have shown no restraint in their comments after Karol Nawrocki’s visit to Washington and meeting with Donald Trump. The aim of the onslaught appears obvious. “Their true intention is to wreck the Polish‑American alliance in favor of a Russian‑German hegemony in Europe,” said Jarosław Olechowski, head of publishers at TV Republika.

In the White House, presidential hopeful and Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) president Dr Karol Nawrocki met with U.S. President Donald Trump. The meeting was confirmed by the White House itself, which posted photos of Nawrocki and Trump in the Oval Office on social media. As the American president’s guest, Nawrocki also held a series of talks with top Republican officials, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Speaker of the House Mike Johnson.

Even before the Nawrocki‑Trump encounter was confirmed, politicians linked to the ruling camp tried every possible way to belittle the Polish candidate’s U.S. visit. Mainstream outlets added their own inglorious “brick,” seeking to marginalize Nawrocki’s trip.

When the White House finally released the photos and Nawrocki spoke openly about the meetings in Washington, the governing coalition lost its earlier line of argument and turned its fire on… the United States.

Sienkiewicz: “Trump is wrecking the world”

KO MEP Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz first accused Karol Nawrocki of “fawning over Trump” and “informing on his own country,” then called the visit “an act of despair.”

“PiS is entirely Trumpist, blindly ignoring the fact that the whole world has a problem with Trump, that Trump is actually wrecking the world. Yet they snuggle up to him. It didn’t surprise me… not to mention that Poles are increasingly distrustful of America’s conduct,” — Sienkiewicz said.

KO MP Roman Giertych labeled the meeting “an attempt to influence the Polish elections,” comparing it to late‑18th‑century free elections “when Russia meddled in choosing the king.”

“A state created 250 years ago from English colonies, acting in the interest of a state created 500 years ago from Mongol colonies, is trying to impose its choice of president on a nation that for over 1,000 years has fought to choose its own rulers,” — Giertych added, tagging his post #ColonialTreatment.

Lis: “A pimp meets a rapist”

Journalist Tomasz Lis also launched an offensive, firing off several incendiary posts.

ENG: “A meeting between a pimp and a rapist really does create opportunities for new ‘perspectives’ in Polish‑American relations.
ENG: In the past it was the communists who travelled to Moscow, convinced that the Kremlin’s blessing would help them fight for power in Warsaw. Now the communists from PiS are going to Washington—to the Kremlin’s agent.
ENG: Putin, with the help of his agent, wants to sway Poland’s election. Get the hell out!

Goal: Undermine ties with the U.S.

It is hard to miss the fact that—pursuing narrow political interests—the leading provocateurs of the 13 December camp are trying to strike at Poland’s key ally.

“Their real intention is to destroy the Polish‑American alliance in the interest of Russian‑German hegemony in Europe,” — Jarosław Olechowski reiterated.
