Kosiniak-Kamysz Booed on Piłsudski Square: “This Is How It Ends”

The crowd gathered on Piłsudski Square greeted Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz with boos. The Minister of National Defence could not count on applause.

Telewizja Republika was the only broadcaster airing live from an open-air studio on Piłsudski Square. Just before the next part of Karol Nawrocki’s inauguration ceremony — the assumption of command over the Armed Forces — a discussion was taking place on the Free Speech Zone channel when an unexpected incident occurred.

In the background, booing could be heard. Everyone turned to see what had triggered such a reaction from the crowd.

— This is the response of those gathered on Piłsudski Square to the arrival of Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. These are the emotions sparked by the Deputy Prime Minister, who also serves as Minister of National Defence — said host Michał Rykowski.

“It doesn’t pay to be in Tusk’s government, because this is how it ends,” summed up studio guest Adrian Borecki.

When Kosiniak-Kamysz began his speech, the crowd started chanting “To Berlin!” and “Down with communism.”
