Over half a million zlotys for weight loss programs and nearly 400,000 PLN for luxury camper trailers. These are yet more examples of KPO grants sparking controversy. “Donald Tusk, you can do it,” commented PiS MP Łukasz Kmita sarcastically.
It is the biggest scandal in years. Companies in the hotel and catering industry have received KPO subsidies for, among other things, company yachts, saunas, tanning salons, furniture replacements, or the purchase of a virtual shooting range. A swingers’ club also received funding, with its owner insisting everything is legal and inviting the Prime Minister for an inspection. One absurdity follows another, and the case seems never-ending.
Yesterday, PiS MP Łukasz Kmita reported that in Kraków, one hotel received over half a million zlotys for “diversification” by introducing to the market an offer related to improving fitness and well-being, particularly through weight loss and care for physique and body.
But that’s not all! Under the KPO, one can also purchase environmentally friendly and, importantly, luxury camper trailers for nearly 390,000 PLN.
