Krzysztof Lipiec, a PiS MP and guest on Republika TV’s morning show, delivered a scathing critique of the current government. He emphasized the need for a technical government and pulling Poland out of the “swamp” into which, he claims, Donald Tusk’s cabinet has led the country.
Tusk Should Step Down
MP Krzysztof Lipiec responded to media reports about ongoing talks between PiS politicians and representatives of the Confederation party regarding a potential coalition in 2027:
“There’s certainly some truth to that. This is, after all, the essence of politics — to be able to talk and make those talks as effective as possible,” he admitted. However, he added that “it’s still too early to predict which direction the situation will turn.”
Lipiec emphasized that PiS is mainly preparing to replicate its 2015 success:
“We are doing everything we can to repeat our success from 2015, reaffirmed by the 2019 elections, so that we have a mandate from Polish society to govern independently,” he stressed.
Asked about the planned change of the Speaker of the Sejm and PiS’s involvement, Lipiec responded clearly:
“That matter is already settled. Today, the December 13 coalition can do anything. They can keep Hołownia or remove him,” he pointed out.
The PiS MP left no doubt about his assessment of the current government:
“In reality, a proper government reshuffle should mean the removal of Tusk as Prime Minister of Poland,” he stated. According to him, the current reshuffle is merely a “sham.”
