Lack of Money for Living Expenses. Nearly 30% of Poles Express Such Concerns

Nearly 30% of Poles are worried about 2026 from an economic perspective. One third of respondents in a United Surveys by IBRiS poll are not confident about covering their current expenses.

“Are you concerned that in 2026 you may not have enough money for everyday expenses and living?”—this question was posed to Poles in a United Surveys by IBRiS poll conducted on behalf of Wirtualna Polska.

About 30% of Poles worry about expenses

The survey shows that a majority (69.6%) of respondents are not concerned about their financial situation in the coming year. A total of 21.5% answered “definitely not,” while 48.1% said “rather not.”

However, nearly one third of participants hold a different view. As many as 29.6% look at 2026 with considerable financial concern. Within this group, 16.8% said they are “definitely” concerned, and 12.8% answered “rather yes.”

Only 0.8% of respondents said they had no opinion.

The results indicate that declarations of financial concern vary depending on respondents’ political preferences.

The greatest anxiety about personal finances is reported by opposition voters—those supporting Confederation and Law and Justice (PiS). Nearly one in two respondents in these groups (46%) express such concerns.

Among voters of the governing coalition, the vast majority—94%—are not worried about their budgets. Only 4% admitted that in 2026 they might lack funds for everyday expenses, while 2% had no opinion.

In the group described as “other voters,” one in three respondents (33%) declared financial concerns, while 65% said they feel secure about their economic situation.

The poll was conducted by United Surveys by IBRiS on behalf of Wirtualna Polska. The survey was carried out between December 19 and 21, 2025, using a mixed methodology: CATI (telephone interviews) and CAWI (online questionnaires), on a sample of N=1,000 respondents.
