LOT Polish Airlines has opened ticket sales for its new direct route to Larnaca, Cyprus. This marks a significant addition to LOT’s flight network, with services to the Mediterranean island resuming after a two-year hiatus. The first flight is scheduled for October 28.
During the winter season, LOT will operate flights to Larnaca four times a week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. In the summer season, the frequency will increase to six times a week, with flights available every day except Tuesday. The journey from Warsaw to Larnaca will take approximately 3.5 hours. The winter schedule includes flight LO171, which departs Warsaw at 10:40 AM and arrives in Larnaca at 3:10 PM. The return flight, LO172, will leave Larnaca at 4:10 PM and land in Warsaw at 6:50 PM. These flights will be operated using Boeing 737 aircraft.
“Cyprus is a popular destination for Poles, with our travellers being the third-largest tourist group on the island in 2023,” said Michał Fijoł, CEO of LOT Polish Airlines. “The island’s warm climate, extensive hotel facilities, and rich cultural heritage make it an appealing destination. We are excited to offer flights to sunny Larnaca again this autumn, providing more options for our passengers.”

Larnaca, located in the southeastern part of Cyprus, is built on the ruins of the ancient city-state Kition and features a subtropical Mediterranean climate. The city is known for its sandy beaches, turquoise Mediterranean waters, and the popular Foinikoudes promenade. Attractions for tourists include the 17th-century Turkish fort, the 9th-century Church of Saint Lazarus, the Kamares Aqueduct, and the Hala Sultan Tekke mosque near the Salt Lake, renowned for its flamingos.
Larnaca also serves as an excellent base for exploring Cyprus, the third-largest island in the Mediterranean. According to Greek mythology, Cyprus is the birthplace of Aphrodite, the goddess of love. The island’s culinary traditions blend Mediterranean and Southern European influences, featuring ingredients such as olive oil, wine, cheese, fresh vegetables, lamb, veal, fish, and seafood.
Larnaca International Airport, the largest airport in Cyprus, is conveniently located just 8 km south of the city.
Tickets for flights from Warsaw to Larnaca are available for purchase through all sales channels, including the LOT website, LOT Contact Center, and LOT Travel offices.
