Marek Jakubiak on Czarnek: Either Poland Will Exist, or It Will Not

“I really like this zero-one approach, because the times themselves are zero-one. Either Poland will exist, or Poland will not exist. For me it is clear that the moment is approaching when we reach the finish line: either they win this race and Poland will not exist, or we win this race and Poland will exist,” said MP Marek Jakubiak, commenting on the announcement of Przemysław Czarnek as Law and Justice’s candidate for prime minister.

On Saturday, during a convention at the Polish Gymnastic Society “Sokół” in Kraków, Law and Justice leader Jarosław Kaczyński announced that Przemysław Czarnek would be the party’s candidate for prime minister in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

The potential head of government stated directly that his party is now boarding the “Polish high-speed train,” in which there will be room for everyone from his political camp — without divisions into factions. He also addressed the topic earlier today on the air of Republika.

“There are no more ‘butterers,’ there are no more ‘scouts’ [the terms “butterers” and “scouts” are metaphorical names for two rival factions within Law and Justice (PiS) that gained popularity in the media at the turn of 2025 and 2026 – ed.]. There is one large faction of President Jarosław Kaczyński — the great Law and Justice party moving toward victory. (…) All wings of Law and Justice are needed. Only when Law and Justice has all its wings does it win,” he said.

“I really like this zero-one approach”

After the interview with Prof. Czarnek, Miłosz Kłeczek continued the discussion with other political guests. Among them was MP Marek Jakubiak, who, referring to yesterday’s speech by the Law and Justice candidate for prime minister, said:

“Przemysław Czarnek listed all those harmed by the current government. All these social groups have been directly harmed by the government of Donald Tusk and those bunglers who think they are governing Poland.”

“I really like this zero-one approach, because the times themselves are zero-one. Either Poland will exist, or Poland will not exist. For me it is clear that the moment is approaching when we reach the finish line: either they win this race and Poland will not exist, or we win this race and Poland will exist,” he added.

In his opinion, Przemysław Czarnek’s speech “was interesting, emotional, and reached the hearts of Poles. It was a speech by a Pole to Poles.”

He also referred to the announcement that internal disputes within Jarosław Kaczyński’s party would be resolved.

“I am very glad that all factions within Law and Justice have found common ground and that we are not witnessing divisions in this regard today. Przemysław Czarnek unites everyone — both intellectuals and those with more radical views, although I believe there are none of those in Poland. Is it radical to say that there are parents: a father and a mother? Giorgia Meloni said she is a mother and is proud of it — and she won the elections in Italy. All those liberal hundreds of genders rushed at her with their fists,” the politician said.

As he noted, “we are beginning to become accustomed to normality. We are starting to speak in a normal language. I believe the turning point in the history of the world was Donald Trump’s victory. And this is coming to Poland as well. Poland will be the first country in Europe to introduce normality — exactly in two years. Not Germanness, not gender ideology, but simply normality.”

“Suddenly I am reminded of a quote from the 16th–17th century, when the hussars used to say that defending the homeland is not our duty, but our right. So this right — the right to be Polish — is a pride that carries the wings of the hussars,” he said.

He also referred to a jab by Sławomir Mentzen, which we wrote about in the article below.

“I like the idea that all Poles should board this train. I view with distaste situations in which MEPs suggest to Sławomir Mentzen that he should gently put sticks into the spokes of these wheels. I don’t think that would be reasonable,” Jakubiak said.
