    Marta Lach Shines with Third Place at Tour of Guangxi

    Marta Lach finishes third at Tour of Guangxi; Alonso wins, and Van Eetvelt secures overall men’s title.

    Polish cyclist Marta Lach (Ceratizit-WNT) secured an impressive third place in the women’s Tour of Guangxi in China. The 134-kilometer race, held around Nanning, saw Lach finish fastest from the peloton, trailing race winner Sandra Alonso (Ceratizit-WNT) by 2 minutes and 47 seconds. Italy’s Giada Borghesi (Human Powered Health) came in second.

    Earlier this week, Lach also claimed two stage wins and the overall victory at the Tour of Chongming Island, marking a strong end to her season.

    Men’s Race and Overall Victory
    The men’s Tour of Guangxi, a five-stage race, concluded on Sunday with Belgian cyclist Lennert van Eetvelt (Lotto Dstny) taking the overall win. Van Eetvelt secured his victory after dominating Saturday’s mountain stage, finishing five seconds ahead of Britain’s Oscar Onley (DSM-firmenich).

    The race saw Poland’s Filip Maciejuk (Red Bull Bora-hansgrohe) finish 60th overall, while his compatriot Łukasz Wiśniowski (Bahrain-Victorious) placed 101st.

    Tour of Guangxi marked the final event of the World Tour calendar for both women and men.
