In response to yet another attack by the Russian Federation targeting facilities on Ukrainian territory, there was intensified air force activity in Polish airspace. This was reported by the Operational Command of the Armed Forces.
In accordance with standard procedures, the Operational Commander of the Armed Forces deployed all available forces and resources at his disposal—combat air patrols were scrambled, and ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems were brought to the highest state of readiness.
These actions were taken to ensure the security of areas bordering the regions under threat.
“The Operational Command of the Armed Forces continues to monitor the current situation, and the assigned forces and resources remain in full readiness for immediate response,” read a statement published on platform X.
Later, it was announced that the operation had concluded: “The deployed forces and resources have returned to standard operational activity,” the statement added.
Massive Attack on Ukraine
During the night from Friday to Saturday, an air raid alert was declared across almost all of Ukraine due to the threat of massive Russian missile and drone strikes. At least one person was killed and three others injured in a Russian air attack on Odesa.
An air raid alert was first issued in Kyiv around 3 a.m. Polish time, followed by alerts in the Kyiv region and most other regions of Ukraine, including those in the west. Ukraine’s air defense forces also reported Russian missiles heading toward the Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Poltava, and Cherkasy regions. The armed forces further reported missiles en route to Dnipro, Pavlohrad, and Berdychiv in the Zhytomyr region.
