Migrants from Germany. The Polish government voices neither opposition nor inquiry. “Minister, what is going on?!”

“I hereby motion to adjourn this session and demand an urgent statement from the government — Minister Siemoniak, what is happening? Why are you allowing Germany to send migrants? Why are you afraid to even inquire about this matter?” — declared Paweł Jabłoński, a Member of Parliament from the Law and Justice (PiS) party, speaking yesterday in the Sejm (Polish Parliament), thereby confirming the findings reported by the portal Niezalezna.pl.

The Border Guard has admitted that it receives migrants on German territory and transports them to Poland. However, it does not monitor this practice nor does it collect statistical data — according to the official response given to inquiries by Niezalezna.pl.

“Minister, what is going on?!”

Today, the topic was raised in the Sejm by Paweł Jabłoński, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. Notably absent from the chamber were key figures on the issue of illegal migration — Prime Minister Donald Tusk and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radosław Sikorski.

“I see that Prime Minister Tusk and Minister Sikorski are not present — that is deeply regrettable. But I urge you all to listen carefully, as you are about to learn something of critical importance. Just moments ago, a meeting of the Polish-German parliamentary group was held, during which a representative of the Ministry of the Interior revealed that you are now not only afraid to challenge Germany on matters of border control. You are even afraid to ask how many migrants they are sending us,”

said the PiS MP from the parliamentary podium.

He continued:

“Ladies and gentlemen, these are facts. The Ministry of the Interior speaks of several hundred people under readmission procedures, under the Dublin Regulation. But Germany — and these are official figures from the German Federal Police — states that over 10,000 individuals have already been returned under internal German regulations.”

“And yet you have not issued a single protest, nor even an inquiry to verify whether this is true. Worse still — the Border Guard does not even know. I am submitting a motion to adjourn this session and demand an urgent statement from the government — Minister Siemoniak, what is going on? Why are you allowing Germany to send migrants? Why are you afraid to send even a basic inquiry on this matter?”

he said, directing his words to Tomasz Siemoniak.
