Mission: Educate the Countryside? Controversial Call to ‘Break Through Republika TV Brainwashing’

During Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s meeting with his supporters, a remark was made about the “need to educate rural residents who have been cemented in by Republika TV.” It’s hard to believe who uttered those words.

Tusk’s meeting with voters in Pabianice is full of content that could set social media ablaze. It’s very likely that the comment about the need to educate villagers will bring the speaker a great deal of attention-though perhaps not the kind she was hoping for. The statement from the audience, addressed directly to Donald Tusk, was made by Anna Jurczyk-the director of MP Dariusz Joński’s parliamentary office.

Cemented in the countryside?

“I kindly ask you, the Polish government and yourself, to find a way to educate these people in the countryside. To show them that the European Union is not a bad thing, that you’re doing a lot of good, that you’re rebuilding Poland. These people are so cemented in by PiS propaganda and Republika TV,” – said Jurczyk.

A flood of mocking comments followed the video of Jurczyk’s remarks, which was posted on social media.
