“Whoever did this must have known the terrain very well. I have three cameras, but I don’t have any monitoring coverage from that particular angle. They didn’t come up the only forest road that leads to us; they reached the place through the woods,” Robert Fijałkowski said in an interview with Niezalezna.pl.
The home of Beata and Robert Fijałkowski was attacked with Molotov cocktails. This was not an act of hooliganism; it was a political act of terror directed at patriots. The attack took place under the cover of night, Robert Bąkiewicz was the first to report.
The incident occurred early Sunday morning. Niezależna.pl spoke with Robert Fijałkowski, who recounted what happened.
“It was exactly 4:20 a.m. A terrible bang woke me up. I opened the bedroom window upstairs and saw a glow from the fire. I ran downstairs to the living room. It turned out that the terrace and the window were on fire. I immediately started trying to put it out,”
he said.
He emphasized that he heard at least two people fleeing.
“We live in a forester’s lodge. There’s a forest all around, and there was a frozen layer of snow on the ground. The sound of their footsteps carried very clearly,”
he explained.
The attackers forced their way through two fences and entered the property.
“A police forensic technician determined precisely that the Molotov cocktails were thrown at the window from a distance of four meters,”
Fijałkowski told Niezależna.pl.
“Whoever did this must have known the terrain very well. I have three cameras, but I don’t have any monitoring from that particular angle. They didn’t take the only forest road leading to us; they came here through the woods,”
he added.
Beata and Robert Fijałkowski have been associated for nearly a year with the Border Defense Movement (ROG). In a media note provided to Niezależna.pl, we read:
“Beata Fijałkowska has been active for nearly 20 years as an Animal Guardian. She is a volunteer with the association (Nie) Nasze Koty Kołobrzeg and conducts interventions concerning cases where animals’ health and lives are at risk throughout the Kołobrzeg County, including in Kołobrzeg. She carries out her activities publicly via the Facebook profile ‘Strażniczki Zwierząt,’ which serves as a voice for animals and highlights cases of violations of the Animal Protection Act. Recently, Beata Fijałkowska participated in the emergency removal of dogs from the municipalities of Gościno and Rymań in situations of direct threat to their health and lives. These actions met with resistance and opposition from parts of the local community and from local governments in Kołobrzeg County, which are run by individuals connected to Civic Coalition and The Left.”
“In Beata and Robert Fijałkowski’s view, this incident was an attempt on their lives, their home, and their well-being, as well as an attempt to destroy their entire body of work and a threat to the animals for which they are responsible. All information concerning possible motives and individuals has been provided exclusively to law enforcement authorities,”
it was emphasized.
