    A moose that wandered through Rzeszów has died following an adverse reaction to sedative injections administered by a veterinarian.

    Residents first spotted the moose on the evening of the previous day. Concerned locals alerted the City Guard and the Environmental Protection Department around 10 p.m. The animal wandered near the Provincial Police Headquarters on Dąbrowskiego Street but showed no signs of aggression—only confusion.

    Numerous Sightings Across Rzeszów

    The moose was seen at various locations throughout the night and the following day, including the Kmity and Piastów neighborhoods, the Rzeszów University of Technology campus, and nearby local schools. Despite efforts to safely subdue the animal, stress combined with sedative doses is believed to have caused its death. The district veterinarian has not yet confirmed details regarding the incident.
