The scandal surrounding the Southern Hospital is becoming one of the main topics of the political dispute. In a new spot published by former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Law and Justice (PiS) accuses the government of Donald Tusk of creating a system of privileges for its own supporters and of failing to respond to signals about irregularities. “If you are from Civic Platform, nothing will happen to you” and “As long as Civic Platform governs, nothing will change,” we hear in the recording, which refers to the scandal involving the Warsaw facility.
On Tuesday evening, Dr Emil Jędrzejewski, former head of the department at the Southern Hospital in Warsaw, gave a shocking interview in which the name of Dawid Kacprzyk was mentioned. Serious accusations were made against the young doctor without a specialization, who is also an activist of Civic Platform – cases of deaths at the emergency department he coordinated will be investigated.
The inconvenient doctor has already become a target for those in power. The head of government – Donald Tusk – publicly stated on the X platform that the credibility of the whistleblower doctor from the Southern Hospital in Warsaw “appears to be questionable”, even though proceedings involving the doctor and his legal representative are scheduled… only for Monday.
The scandal involving Civic Platform and questions about who should be held responsible for it are spreading more and more widely. Attempts can be observed by individual politicians of the largest party in the governing camp to distance themselves from it.

Mateusz Morawiecki, former Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, published a new spot today – concerning precisely the threads of the scandal around Civic Platform. At the very beginning we see the former Minister of Health, Izabela Leszczyna, suggesting that problems in healthcare could disappear as if by the touch of a “magic wand”.
“Only queues have disappeared, but only for those with a party ID. And for you – wait two years or die in the emergency room. The authorities remained deaf to the alarms from the hospital. And now, when the matter has come to light, a politicized prosecutor’s office has been set in motion to sweep the case under the rug. The incompetence of the government is overwhelming. The hospital and Kacprzyk keep shifting money back and forth. Meanwhile, the instigator of the whole situation has still not been arrested. His phone has still not been secured,” says the voiceover in the spot.
And further: “the message is simple. If you are from Civic Platform, nothing will happen to you. Conclusions? Obvious. As long as Civic Platform governs, nothing will change. You want mydala, and now, when the matter has come to light, they keep shifting money back and forth. Meanwhile, the instigator of the whole situation has still not been arrested. His phone has still not been secured. The message is simple. If you are from Civic Platform, nothing will happen to you. Conclusions? Obvious. As long as Civic Platform governs, nothing will change.”
