    Nawrocki Gains Ground as Trzaskowski’s Support Declines

    Nawrocki gains 10 points in the Polish presidential race as Trzaskowski’s lead narrows.


    Karol Nawrocki has significantly closed the gap in Poland’s presidential race, gaining 10 percentage points in just one month. According to a recent United Surveys poll for Wirtualna Polska, Rafał Trzaskowski leads with 34.2% support in the first round, while Nawrocki follows closely at 29%.

    Support Shifts and Candidate Performance

    Trzaskowski’s support has dropped by 2 points compared to December, shrinking his lead over Nawrocki to just 5.2 percentage points. Meanwhile, Sławomir Mentzen ranks third with 13%, marking a 2.9-point increase. Szymon Hołownia saw a sharp decline, with only 6.7% support, down from 10.2%.

    Second-Round Competition Tightens

    In a potential second-round matchup, Trzaskowski’s projected support has fallen to 50.3%, nearly a 10-point drop, while Nawrocki rose to 44.5%. The undecided vote remains at 5.2%.

    This survey was conducted from January 10-12 with 1,000 respondents using CATI and CAWI methods.
