Nawrocki outclasses rivals with record trust score as Tusk faces heavy burden of distrust

A record result for Karol Nawrocki and serious problems for politicians from the governing coalition – this is the picture emerging from the latest IBRiS trust ranking for Onet. The president achieved the highest result, 54.8 percent, in the history of this recurring survey, while nearly 60 percent of Poles now say they do not trust Donald Tusk. Rafał Trzaskowski also suffered a severe blow, recording the largest drop in trust in the entire ranking.

The latest IBRiS trust ranking for Onet brings a clear victory for President Karol Nawrocki. The head of state is trusted by 54.8 percent of respondents, an increase of as much as 8.4 percentage points compared with the previous survey.

This is not only the best result in the current ranking, but also the highest score in the history of the survey. Karol Nawrocki surpassed the previous record held by Szymon Hołownia at the beginning of 2024, when 54.4 percent of respondents said they trusted the Poland 2050 leader.

At the same time, the president has regained a lead of positive ratings over negative ones. A significantly smaller share of respondents, 39.3 percent, say they do not trust him.

Tusk on the podium, but burdened by massive distrust

Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski retained second place in the ranking, with 42.6 percent of respondents expressing trust in him. At the same time, as many as 51 percent of respondents say they do not trust him.

The podium is completed by Prime Minister Donald Tusk. The head of government is trusted by 38.1 percent of respondents, but the second figure is far more telling. As many as 57.6 percent of Poles declare that they do not trust the prime minister, meaning that nearly six in ten respondents view him negatively.

The results show that although leading Civic Coalition politicians remain high in terms of recognition and trust, they are also struggling with very high levels of public distrust.

Rafał Trzaskowski’s defeat

One of the biggest losers in the survey is Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski. In the latest poll, only 32.5 percent of respondents say they trust him.

This represents a drop of as much as 5.6 percentage points compared with the previous month and the sharpest decline among all the politicians included in the ranking. The survey was conducted after the first reports concerning the scandal surrounding Southern Hospital had already emerged, which, as Onet notes, may have contributed to the deterioration in the capital mayor’s ratings.

Governing coalition facing problems

The survey results show that politicians from the current governing camp cannot speak of a positive streak. More than half of respondents do not trust Donald Tusk and Radosław Sikorski, while Rafał Trzaskowski recorded the largest drop in trust in the entire ranking.

Further down the list were, among others, Włodzimierz Czarzasty with 36 percent, Mateusz Morawiecki with 35.3 percent, and Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz with 34.9 percent.

Almost at the very bottom of the ranking are Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz and former Sejm Speaker Szymon Hołownia, with the trust at the level of 15.7 and 14.5, respectively.

The IBRiS survey for Onet was conducted on June 19-21, 2026, using the CATI method on a representative sample of 1,100 adult Poles.
