President Karol Nawrocki continues to widen his lead over the rest of the field, while Radosław Sikorski has slipped from the long-held second position, according to the latest poll by IBRiS for Onet.
In the new IBRiS poll commissioned by Onet, President Nawrocki records 49.1% positive ratings (“strongly trust” – 24.4%, “rather trust” – 24.7%), an increase of 2.8 percentage points compared to the March survey. Negative opinions of the president are held by 41.6% of respondents (“strongly do not trust” – 28.5%, “rather do not trust” – 13.1%). This means that Nawrocki is the only politician in the ranking with more positive than negative ratings.
Second place goes to Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who is trusted by 39.2% of respondents (“strongly trust” – 17.9%, “rather trust” – 21.3%). Meanwhile, 53.2% of those surveyed have a negative opinion of the head of government (“strongly do not trust” – 39.8%, “rather do not trust” – 13.4%).
Tusk has thus overtaken Sikorski, who drops from the long-held second position. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs can count on 37.4% positive ratings (“strongly trust” – 24.4%, “rather trust” – 24.7%) and exactly 50% negative (“strongly do not trust” – 28%, “rather do not trust” – 22%).
This means that both the prime minister and the foreign minister have more negative than positive ratings. According to Onet, this may be a warning signal for the ruling coalition, as at least half of Poles do not trust either of these Civic Platform (KO) politicians.
The leader of the opposition in the ranking remains PiS deputy leader Mateusz Morawiecki, trusted by 36.8% of respondents – 2.7 percentage points more than a month earlier. This places the former prime minister and founder of the Rozwój Plus association just outside the top three, and he may soon aim to break into the podium positions, trailing Sikorski by only 0.6 percentage points.
