The Ministry of Energy has disclosed details of its spending on media activities following a request for access to public information submitted by Jacek Ozdoba, a Law and Justice (PiS) Member of the European Parliament. The document shows that PLN 799,992 gross was paid to TVN as part of an information campaign concerning nuclear energy.
According to the response signed by the Ministry of Energy, the funds came from the Polish Nuclear Power Programme and were allocated to educational and informational activities carried out by the Department of Communication. The campaign was conducted under the slogan “Czas zrozumieć Atom” and included, among other things, the purchase of television airtime.
The contract for the implementation of the campaign was concluded on 21 November 2025 with TVN S.A., represented by TVN Media. The ministry emphasizes that in the period under review – from 1 July 2024 to 15 December 2025 – the expenditures concerned exclusively informational activities.
The response from the Ministry of Energy is a reaction to Jacek Ozdoba’s request covering expenditures for the benefit of the largest media groups in Poland, including Agora and Ringier Axel Springer Polska, as well as entities capital-linked to these groups. The letter indicates that the information was prepared by the Department of Nuclear Energy and the Atomic Education Division of the Ministry of Energy. The document specifies the amount, purpose, and beneficiary of the funds, constituting official confirmation of public spending on a campaign broadcast on TVN channels.
