Fakt has revealed a new asset disclosure statement by Rafał Trzaskowski—one that has not yet been published in the Public Information Bulletin (BIP). It turns out that compared to the previous year, the value of the Civic Platform (KO) presidential candidate’s real estate has significantly increased.
Each year, local government officials are required to submit asset declarations. This includes city mayors, such as Warsaw’s mayor Rafał Trzaskowski, who is currently running for president of Poland under the KO banner.
The most recent asset disclosure available in the Warsaw Public Information Bulletin is dated June 2024. “I’m taking out a loan and buying at Trzaskowski’s declared price! The value is understated by 0.5 to 1 million zloty!” Tobiasz Bocheński of the Law and Justice (PiS) party posted on X today, commenting on the KO candidate’s declaration.
Rafał Trzaskowski’s New Asset Disclosure
Interestingly, amid ongoing debate about presidential candidates’ wealth—and discussions surrounding Trzaskowski’s finances—Fakt obtained a new asset disclosure from the Warsaw mayor, one that hasn’t even been officially published yet.
According to the newspaper, the value of Trzaskowski’s properties has significantly increased. One apartment, measuring 79 square meters, is now valued at 1.2 million zloty, up from 1 million. The value of his second apartment also rose—from 1.1 million to 1.3 million zloty. Meanwhile, an apartment belonging to Małgorzata Trzaskowska made headlines as well: last year it was worth 350,000 zloty; now it is listed at 500,000 zloty.
The only unchanged value remains the plot of land with a summer house, still declared at 70,000 zloty according to the Warsaw mayor.
Notably, Trzaskowski’s income section includes his salary from city hall (over 235,000 zloty), lectures at Collegium Civitas (over 48,000 zloty), and a small payment from the soon-to-be-defunct Polish Radio—amounting to just 85.76 zloty.
