Excavation works are ongoing – apart from the elements visible to the naked eye, more parts of the drone are being extracted from the ground – prosecutor Grzegorz Trusiewicz told journalists.
During the morning press conference, prosecutor Grzegorz Trusiewicz stated that everything indicates the drone came from the direction of Belarus. He also outlined a plan of actions in the area of searching for the remaining parts of the machine.
At the afternoon press conference, prosecutor Trusiewicz informed journalists that some structural elements, as a result of the explosion, had driven themselves deep into the ground.
He emphasized that most of the smaller parts were found in the same spot as the largest element – the engine with a fragment of the propeller. It was located under high-voltage power lines.
Larger elements, which according to experts may be of importance to forensic specialists, are being secured individually. The remaining smaller ones are collected in groups. He reported that there are dozens of such materials. He explained that many fragments are being found in the form of “pellets”.
He admitted that some of the people who declared they had seen the drone before the explosion have already been questioned, and their testimonies are being verified.
