In a statement to Niezalezna.pl, the spokesperson for the Łódź District Court reiterated that the decision was based on “humanitarian grounds.” However, as Niezalezna.pl journalists discovered, Cyba was placed in a regular social care home (DPS), which operates outside the penitentiary system—meaning he was not under any form of supervision.
