    On the 2nd day of the European Council summit: the situation in the financial and banking markets

    EU leaders discuss the latest developments in relation to Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, competitiveness, the single market, the economy, energy, external relations, and other topics, including migration. The 2nd day of the European Council summit was devoted to the situation in the financial and banking markets.


    “The Polish banking system is safe,” said PM Morawiecki.

    “We are not a member of the eurozone, we are managing our own currency and we are reaping the benefits.”, he added.

    According to the PAP news agency, Morawiecki assured that Poland “has no problems with compliance with the EU’s Charter of Fundamental Rights” and therefore “there are no problems with payments for Poland from the bloc’s Cohesion Fund.”
