Only a Great Uprising Can Save Europe? Law and Justice Chairman Appeals: “We Must Take Part in This”

This is part of the social engineering of the European Union, which wants to limit and destroy all social environments that are a support for conservative thinking and action,” said Jarosław Kaczyński, chairman of Law and Justice (PiS), during today’s press conference.

On 11 October 2025 at 14:00 the demonstration against the Mercosur agreement and illegal migration will begin at Castle Square in Warsaw. At today’s press conference Jarosław Kaczyński, chairman of Law and Justice (PiS), spoke about Saturday’s demonstration – but not only about that. He began by saying “indeed, Poland needs today the voice of citizens who are aware of the situation in our country.

He described how degraded the country has become both in terms of how the state functions and – when it comes to economic matters – in terms of security. All of this together looks bad today. Shockingly bad, in fact. We expected that the rule of the formation that governs today would be harmful to Poland. We did not expect it to be this bad. That the law would be completely trampled. That, in effect, a situation would arise in which the law ceases to apply. Basically – there is no law, because at any moment the authorities can reshape the law or disregard it. This is an extremely dangerous thing. Dangerous also for citizens, said the leader of the Polish opposition.

Kaczyński: “It Will Begin to Resemble the PRL Situation”

He continued by referring to the Justice Minister Waldemar Żurek’s announcements about “restoring the rule of law”: “perhaps a large part do not realise this, because they think these are political games, spectacles. But they are not. One day, probably not far off, it will begin to resemble the situation of the Polish People’s Republic (PRL). And what Minister Żurek announces shows that the trend here is quite obvious. They want to introduce a system in which, for example, the judiciary will be completely subservient to the authorities.

He then cited how this looked in our western neighbour after 1989.

For example, in the GDR, in Berlin, 58 percent of judicial panels in the most important courts were changed. In other places somewhat less, but it was always a very high percentage. In Poland nothing was done. Even with judges who in the 1980s were known for exceptionally scandalous verdicts – nothing was done to them either. The concept of self-purification proposed by Prof. Strzembosz emerged. Only that it did not happen, not in any degree. Those judges who served in the PRL period and who then did not have the courage to rebel were not ready to undertake actions aimed at self-purification. As a result, a state arose in which the judiciary was the guarantor of a pathological system in Poland, of post-communism – an extremely ineffective, extremely unjust system. And it was always fiercely defended against any changes. Patho-elites were selected at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s, said the Law and Justice chairman.

As he emphasized, “this is a condition that is now being restored. It is being restored with full energy, in an intensified form.

Migration, Mercosur and Other EU Inventions

During the conference the Law and Justice leader also referred to a press conference he attended yesterday.

Yesterday I spoke from this place about those proposals or urgings from Bachmann, a German living in Poland. He once spoke about the use of all methods of a police state – not only by the police, but also by other bodies capable of using coercion. And now he proposed simply to attack the National Bank of Poland (NBP) and effectively steal some 120-odd billion dollars. He realises what the consequences will be for ratings, for the value of the zloty. It would be a hurricane. A terrible one that would sweep through the Polish economy. Nevertheless, in his view it must be done, Kaczyński pointed out. I repeat what I said yesterday: I hope the moment will come when these matters will be settled in criminal proceedings, he added.

He then moved on to the subject of illegal migration, which the Saturday demonstration will also address. “Today we have, first of all, the issue of migration – a huge threat to Polish security. And this is regardless of whether Poland is tactically excluded from this for a year or two.

Tactically, because of the elections in 2027. The European Union really does not care about any rule of law, because it accepts everything that happens in Poland, but it wants this team in Poland to govern. This, however, will come to Poland – together with all the far-reaching consequences affecting all citizens. Perhaps except for those who live in gated communities, the wealthiest part of society, which has enormous influence on the course of political and social life. Only those interests are, in fact, taken into account, he assessed.

He then addressed the EU-Mercosur agreement.

The Mercosur issue – this is only one element of the tragedy of Polish agriculture. Polish agriculture is dying today. I recall that under our governments 1,400 zł per tonne of wheat was the price to which we subsidised. Purchasing power was close to 2,000 zł, now it is 600-700 zł. These are completely unprofitable prices. And this applies not only to cereals, but to basically all other agricultural products, he said.

In his view, “this simply leads to the collapse of Polish agriculture, which means the collapse of the social structure of the countryside. Not because today the majority live from agriculture. That is not the case. The vast majority do not live from agriculture, but are connected to it. This attack is not accidental.

This is part of the social engineering of the European Union, which wants to limit and destroy all social environments that are a support for conservative thinking and action. They want to preserve the dominance of the current team, which they describe as liberal-democratic. Although that liberal democracy shows its teeth and, for example, can one speak of English democracy when several thousand people sit in prison there for having said something, explained the Law and Justice chairman, adding that without freedom of speech there can be no democracy.

He appealed: “taking into account these plans concerning hate speech, we will have a similar situation in Poland if we do not stop all this – if we do not get involved in this, as an important actor, in this European movement. These forces must win in Europe. And we must take part in that.

This meeting will also be aimed in that direction. We want to build Poles’ hopes for a great change. Hope for a great change here in Poland, but also in Europe. The aim is for this to be connected into a single whole. So that the Poland of the future can function calmly in good relations with other European countries within the EU, but reformed. One that preserves the sovereignty of states. So that it can be written into that great Trump plan, which was presented at the UN General Assembly. A plan that attempts to propose something that will protect nations, their sovereignty, freedom, democracy, and will lead the world back to common sense, recalled Jarosław Kaczyński. In his view, the policy being pursued today is a rejection of common sense. It is the acceptance and implementation of various left-wing, even insane ideologies, some of which were already once implemented – in the early phase of the existence of the Soviet Union.
