Oskar Kwiatkowski Makes His Comeback at the Alpine Snowboarding World Cup in Scuol

Polish alpine snowboarder and 2023 World Champion Oskar Kwiatkowski is making his much-anticipated return to competition at the Alpine Snowboarding World Cup in Scuol, Switzerland, this weekend.

Kwiatkowski has been out of action for the past month following an injury sustained during the December World Cup in Mylin, China. Despite a strong sixth-place finish in that event, a fall in the quarterfinals forced him to withdraw, and subsequent medical evaluations confirmed a more serious injury than initially suspected.

Now fully recovered, Kwiatkowski has been named to the Polish national team for Scuol. He will join Maria Bukowska-Chyc, Weronika Dawidek, Olimpia Kwiatkowska, Michał Nowaczyk, and Aleksandra Król-Walas, who leads the overall standings in the parallel giant slalom. The competition on January 11 will kick off with qualification rounds at 9:00 AM, followed by the finals at 1:00 PM.
