“People want to live normally.” Sakiewicz: The liberal left offers only lack of principles or madness

The liberal left forms multi-colored coalitions to block conservatives, thereby abandoning its ideological backbone. It is increasingly willing to resort to censorship and violate human rights, writes Tomasz Sakiewicz in his commentary.

Despite local victories of the liberal left, it is becoming increasingly difficult for it to maintain power in countries of Western civilization.

In Poland, it took power with the help of a party that appealed to part of the conservative electorate—and this hollow construct was almost immediately dismantled. In Hungary, success was achieved only by extracting a politician from a conservative party who officially still identifies as a conservative.

In general, the liberal left builds multi-colored coalitions to block conservatives, in doing so shedding its ideological spine. It increasingly reaches for censorship and violates human rights. This does not bode well for its future. People want to live normal lives, while what it offers is now only either lack of principles or madness.
