PiS Launches Policy Offensive. Gliński: We’re Preparing to Take Power

After the summer break, Law and Justice (PiS) will hold a three-day policy convention in Katowice. “The convention will most likely significantly shape our platform for the upcoming elections,” announced Piotr Gliński. The main topics will include finance, defense, and foreign policy.

Three-Day Convention in Katowice
Piotr Gliński, chairman of the PiS Program Council, told PAP that the party’s next policy convention will take place after the summer, most likely in October in Katowice:

“The policy convention will most likely play a major role in shaping our program for the upcoming elections,” said the former deputy prime minister.

Gliński emphasized that the convention will refer back to the 2015 event but will take on a more modern format and be “adapted to today’s challenges.”

“The convention will cover a wide range of topics, addressing all key political and ministerial areas, such as the economy, finance, healthcare, and culture. There will also be discussions on broader political and social issues, including panels on social and political divisions in Poland,” Gliński explained.

According to the announcement, the convention will feature a dozen or so cross-cutting and ministerial debates, as well as several dozen specialized panels:

“Over the three days, we expect a turnout of several thousand people,” added the former culture minister.
