Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki begins his visit to the United States today. Before leaving for the US, he said that “Polish-American relations have never been so strong”.

According to PM Mateusz Morawiecki, the visit to the United States is a direct outcome of President Joe Biden’s recent trip to Poland and the subsequent discussions with President Andrzej Duda. PM Morawiecki clarified that the visit aims to reinforce the strategic partnership established during Biden’s visit.

“When Poland will hold the presidency of the European Union in less than two years, we will make the transatlantic partnership, the alliance between the European Union and the United States, the most important point of this presidency.”

    PM Morawiecki said.

At the same time, the Prime Minister assessed that Poland’s security is based on two pillars – economic cooperation and cooperation in the field of defense.

“The alliance with the United States is the absolute foundation of our security. Our security is based on two pillars: economic cooperation and defense cooperation. I am going to the United States to strengthen both of these pillars..”,

    he added.
