Both teams treated the encounter as a crucial test ahead of the upcoming European Championships, set to commence on August 15. Coaches Stefano Lavarini and Daniele Santarelli fielded their strongest lineups, showcasing a competitive spirit throughout the match.
Joanna Wołosz returned strongly to the Polish squad, reinforcing the already talented roster. Poland had previously encountered Turkey in the group stage of the Nations League in Hong Kong, where the Polish team emerged victorious with a 3-0 win.
