    Igor Gajewski – the Polish aerialist won a silver medal!

    The Polish aerialist from Bielsko-Biała, Igor Gajewski won a silver medal at the 2022 International Pole Sports Federation (IPSF) World Championships in Lausanne, Switzerland. He became the vice-champion in the Aerial Hoop Sports – Senior Men category.

    Igor Gajewski interviewed by bielsko.biala.pl said that acrobatics and circus art have been his passion since childhood. He has been training since he was 14 or 15 years old.

    When he was 18 years old, he worked as a circus performer to to have first hand experience as aerialist. Now, Gajewski is a certified aerial acrobatics instructor and managed to combine his passion with work.

    Before his great success in Lausanne, Switzerland, Igor Gajewski won first place in the Polish Championship in June 2022 organized during Kielce Trade Fairs. The acrobatics took place at a height of almost three meters and more than 250 participants took part in the contest.

    Over 500 athletes from 40 different countries ⁠contested with each other in 7 categories. Among other competitors, 26 Polish athletes took part in the championships in various categories. Besides Igor Gajewski, 7 Poles were on the podium.
