    Polish Basketball Team’s Triumph in Euro Championship Opener

    In a dazzling start to their Euro Championship qualification, the Polish basketball team secured a stunning 67-62 victory against reigning European champions Belgium.

    From the outset, the Polish team dominated. Their momentum surged, extending the advantage to 17 points in the second quarter, though a last-second play by the Belgians closed the gap to 12 points.

    In the third quarter, Liliana Banaszak’s three-pointer maintained the 17-point lead, but the hosts swiftly retaliated, reducing the deficit to 43-33. By quarter-end, the lead had dwindled to 49-44, setting the stage for a nail-biting finale.

    Entering the decisive quarter with a lead, the Polish team faced a resilient opposition. With six minutes left, their lead had shrunk to two points. Despite occasional errors providing hope for the Belgians, the Polish team maintained composure, securing a sensational 67-62 victory in Antwerp.

    Looking ahead, the Polish team will face Lithuania in their next Euro Championship qualifier on Sunday, November 12.
