A startling development unfolds in southern Chad as a Polish doctor, volunteering at a local hospital, was kidnapped alongside a Mexican citizen in Dono Manga. The hospital, under the administration of Caritas, became the scene of the abduction.
Dono Manga, situated over 400 km southeast of N’Djamena, witnesses a large-scale search operation involving Chadian and French forces. The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms vigorous efforts to locate the missing doctor.
Chadian and French forces lead the ground supervision, directed by Minister of Security Mahamat Charfadine Margui, according to the Ministry’s brief statement.
Amidst the intensity of the situation, the Ministry urges discretion in reporting while ensuring active involvement of Polish diplomatic and consular services, maintaining close contact with local authorities and the family of the abducted individual.
