    Polish Farmers Upset as the Promised Agricultural Tax Reduction is Withdrawn

    In the middle of the summer, at harvest time, Agriculture Minister Czeslaw Siekierski quietly withdrew a project that was supposed to reduce this year’s agricultural tax. Deputy Agriculture Minister Michał Kołodziejczak promised that he will press his boss to maintain the agreement with farmers. They are saying plainly that the government has deceived them.
