Polish Radio Correspondent Posts Photo with Trump. Circles a Black Man

Marek Wałkuski, a White House correspondent for Polish Radio (in liquidation), published a startling post. “It appears that the staff at Mar-a-Lago may have been watching live the operation carried out by American commandos in Venezuela,” he wrote beneath a photograph showing, among others, Donald Trump, President of the United States, and Marco Rubio, U.S. Secretary of State. In the background, a Black man can be seen. Wałkuski circled this individual, suggesting that he was a member of the staff. The post prompted a flood of comments.

On Saturday morning Polish time, the United States conducted a military operation in Venezuela aimed at apprehending the country’s leader, Nicolás Maduro. Maduro and his wife were captured and transported to the United States, where judicial proceedings will begin. According to CNN, they are already in custody.

Maduro and his wife—along with three other individuals from their circle who remain at large—face four charges, including the most serious one: participation in a narco-terrorist conspiracy. The former leader is accused of years-long cocaine trafficking into the United States, including cooperation with organizations designated by the U.S. as terrorist groups: Colombia’s FARC and ELN militias, Mexico’s Sinaloa and Zetas cartels, and the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua. These charges carry penalties ranging from 30 years in prison to life imprisonment.

Polish Radio Correspondent Shocks on Platform X

The entire operation was overseen by U.S. President Donald Trump and his closest circle. A photo report from the event appeared on the official White House profile.

One of the posted photos was shared by Marek Wałkuski, Polish Radio’s (in liquidation) White House correspondent—after being edited. The reporter circled one of the figures in the photograph: a Black man.

Marek Wałkuski has been a permanent correspondent in the United States since 2002.

“It appears that the staff at Mar-a-Lago may have been watching live the operation carried out by American commandos in Venezuela,” Wałkuski captioned the image, suggesting that the circled man was a member of the staff.

This claim by the Polish Radio correspondent in liquidation was refuted by Aleksander Olech of Defence24.com.

“Mr. Marek, I don’t know what has been happening with you lately… This takes nine seconds to verify:

  • He is wearing formal layered attire (vest, shirt, and tie), typical of security personnel, not a waiter.
  • He is standing at the back, observing the surroundings, rather than serving a table—staff are usually in motion.
  • An alert posture, hands clasped in front, no tray, documents, or service equipment.
  • His position behind key figures suggests a protective role,” he wrote.

Wałkuski’s post has also been commented on by other internet users, who criticize him for a “racist attitude.” Despite this, the post remains on platform X, and the author has not issued any correction to date.
