    Polish Space Sector Shines at the International Defense Industry Exhibition (MSPO) 2023

    Poland’s burgeoning space industry celebrated significant achievements at this year’s International Defense Industry Exhibition (MSPO) in Kielce. The event’s closing gala on September 8th saw PIAP Space honored with the prestigious Kopernik Award by the Polish Space Agency (POLSA), while Creotech Instruments received the MSPO – Defender distinction.

    PIAP Space’s Remarkable Win:
    PIAP Space clinched the inaugural Kopernik Award for its outstanding contributions to the development of Poland’s space sector. The company has made substantial strides in space robotics, particularly in developing robotic manipulator solutions for orbital operations. Its collaborations with the European Space Agency (ESA), the European Commission, and prime contractors have strengthened its position in the European market, inspiring smaller enterprises to venture boldly into the space industry.

    Creotech Instruments’ Defender Award:
    Creotech Instruments, a Polish satellite manufacturer, received the Defender Award for its HyperSat satellite platform in the military reconnaissance equipment category. HyperSat, developed entirely by Polish engineers, is a modular satellite platform that allows scalable design and production of satellites for various purposes, including imaging, telecommunications, and navigation in low Earth orbit.

    Recognition and Future Prospects:
    These accolades reflect Poland’s growing influence in the space and defense sectors. The recognition comes at a time when Polish space endeavors are gaining momentum both nationally and internationally. With increased contributions to the European Space Agency, Poland’s space industry is poised for further success, solidifying its place on the global stage.
