Polish Women’s Volleyball Team Announced for Paris 2024 Olympics

Head coach Stefano Lavarini has announced the Polish women’s volleyball team roster for the Paris 2024 Olympics, featuring thirteen players. The team secured their Olympic spot by dominating the qualifying tournament at Atlas Arena in September 2023, achieving decisive victories over Slovenia, South Korea, Colombia, Germany, the USA, and Italy.

Building on their 2023 success, the Polish squad continued to shine in 2024, earning a bronze medal at the Nations League. With eyes set on Olympic success, Lavarini’s squad includes key players such as Klaudia Alagierska, Magdalena Jurczyk, and Agnieszka Korneluk as middle blockers, and the team will be backed by reserve player Olivia Różański. Matches will be broadcast on Telewizja Polska, allowing fans to follow their journey.

Poland has been placed in Group B for the Olympic tournament, where they will face strong competitors Brazil, Japan, and Kenya. Other groups include formidable teams like France, the USA, China, and Serbia in Group A, and Italy, Turkey, Netherlands, and the Dominican Republic in Group C.

The Olympic volleyball matches are scheduled from July 27 to August 11, 2024.
