Colombians Settle Scores in Poland. Two Brothers Arrested

On Saturday morning, a wounded 32-year-old man with stab wounds reported to the police station. Officers from Lipsko immediately took up the case and determined that there had been a fight involving a dangerous weapon. Two brothers – Colombian citizens – have already been arrested, and other individuals may face charges.


On Saturday (August 9) morning, a man – a Colombian citizen – reported to the County Police Headquarters (KPP) in Lipsko with visible stab wounds. An ambulance crew was immediately called to the scene, provided the victim with assistance, and transported him to the hospital.

At the same time, police officers launched intensive efforts to determine the circumstances of the incident and the identities of those involved. It was quickly established that the fight had taken place between Colombian citizens who were in Poland for seasonal work. Two of them – brothers aged 26 and 29 – were arrested the same day. At the time of their arrest, both were intoxicated. After sobering up, they were interrogated and charged with participating in a fight involving a dangerous weapon. By court decision, they were temporarily detained for a period of three months.

Another individual has already been detained and is awaiting charges. The case is ongoing – police officers, under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office, are clarifying all the circumstances of the incident.

Participation in a fight involving a dangerous weapon is punishable by up to eight years in prison. Police remind the public that the use of violence and dangerous weapons to resolve conflicts can lead to tragic consequences for both the health and freedom of those involved.
