“The past year 2025, although full of challenges and unfortunate news for Poland, was at the same time a year of hope and a great success for the patriotic camp,” writes today on social media Jacek Sasin, a Law and Justice (PiS) MP. The politician summarized the ending year in an extensive post.
The end of the year is always a good time to review what has happened over the last 12 months, and often to reflect on what can be improved so that the coming period will be better.
Sasin Summarizes 2025
The political summary was made on social media by Jacek Sasin, Law and Justice (PiS) MP. “The past year 2025, although full of challenges and unfortunate news for Poland, was at the same time a year of hope and a great success for the patriotic camp” begins his post. “Thanks to the immense engagement of the State – thousands of patriots, as well as the titanic work of the candidate, the campaign team, and the entire PiS team, we could celebrate Karol Nawrocki’s victory on June 1. The following months have been an excellent start to the bold presidency of Karol Nawrocki, focused on defending Polish interests, which creates great prospects for the future.”
He continues:
Next, the PiS MP thanked Poles for yet another reason. “The year 2025 also confirmed the great determination of Poles, who, through grassroots initiatives (such as border defenders), opposed the destruction of the state by the December 13 regime – thank you.”
Later, the tone becomes somewhat less optimistic.
Unfortunately, the last 12 months were also a time of destruction and weakening of Poland by the December 13 Coalition:
- the collapse of the healthcare system;
- rising unemployment (an additional 100,000+ Poles out of work);
- mass group layoffs;
- tragic SSP results;
- halting of local investments;
- blocking of strategic investments such as CPK, nuclear power plants, or port expansions;
- rising cost of living (inflation persists);
- some of the highest energy prices in Europe – a major problem for industry;
- record-low purchase prices in agriculture;
- chaos in education;
- anarchizing and attempting to take over the executive power of the judiciary.
The politician also recalls the failures of the Donald Tusk government on the international stage.
In the EU arena, where no one was supposed to outplay Donald Tusk, there was a series of complete embarrassments and failures – approval of the EU-Mercosur agreement, acceptance of radical climate targets under the Green Deal, silent consent for the Global Compact for Migration, and the ongoing process of EU centralization (including participation in successive joint loans). “We are losing sovereignty and agency, symbolized by Donald Tusk moving to the second carriage or his compromising behavior during African visits.”
Finally, he adds: “Let us not lose hope – the coming year may bring great changes and an opportunity for Poland to return to the path of development, strengthening security, and defending independence against external encroachments. We can do it!”
