Polls show majority backing for removing Tusk, says MP Woś

“Tusk governs Poland so poorly that 53% of Poles see it and say so in opinion polls. They want Tusk out. This is, among other things, the result of Professor Czarnek’s engagement. He travels across Poland and mobilizes people to take action. Moreover, people see every day what is happening to the healthcare system and how the justice system is collapsing,” said Michał Woś, a Law and Justice (PiS) MP, on the program Guest Today.

Today’s episode was particularly heated, with emotions further stirred by the topics under discussion. The participants talked about the situation in healthcare and the judiciary, debated the refusal by ministers in Donald Tusk’s government to recognize a final ruling of the Supreme Administrative Court in the case of Professor Cenckiewicz, and also addressed the pedophilia–zoophilia scandal in Kłodzko and the widespread silence surrounding it.

In this context, Michał Woś also described a related situation in the Sejm, when he and Dariusz Matecki decided to stage a firm protest against what they described as the Civic Coalition’s silence on the scandal. As a result, Speaker Włodzimierz Czarzasty excluded both MPs from the session.

“The whole of Poland has been talking about this for a month. Numerous public questions have been directed at Ms. Wielichowska and Donald Tusk, yet the Coalition remains silent. We decided to bring attention to the matter and break this silence, because Ms. Wielichowska does not answer questions, avoids journalists, and her statement explains nothing,”

the PiS MP said.

Michał Woś recalled that a motion had been submitted to dismiss the Deputy Speaker of the Sejm, but Czarzasty ignored it and did not put it to a vote.

“This is a clear violation of the Sejm’s rules of procedure, as the motion was properly submitted and in accordance with the law,”

Woś added.

He admitted that although he and MP Matecki faced consequences, it was worth it, as Donald Tusk was forced to convene a press conference and respond to the issues.

“The conference was very brief, but Tusk still managed to tell five falsehoods. He said the man had been sentenced to life imprisonment, when in fact he received 25 years; he claimed it was PiS’s fault because allegedly nothing had been done, whereas it was the prosecution under Ziobro that brought charges in 2023, and the man was arrested during Ziobro’s tenure; he said he himself had only just begun to act, even though the indictment had already been filed under Zbigniew Ziobro; and finally, he claimed he had no idea how his photo with that woman came about,”

the MP emphasized.
