The decisions made by Donald Tusk’s government regarding the Central Communication Port (CPK) have become a symbol of the widening gap between developed and underdeveloped Poland. As experts from the Presidential Council for Strategic Development Projects warn, rejecting the #TakdlaCPK bill is a blatant endorsement of marginalizing a large portion of our country by those currently in power.
The Government Closes the Door to Development
The Infrastructure Committee recommended that the Sejm reject the citizen-proposed #TakdlaCPK bill, which aimed to ensure transparent monitoring of this crucial investment. This decision puts not only the future of CPK but also the idea of an integrated transport system—intended to serve the entire country—into serious doubt.
Instead, this project has been reduced to an exclusive railway line serving only four metropolitan areas, while the airport itself is being built chaotically and without a clear vision.
“This is equivalent to the ruling government accepting the division of the country into developed and underdeveloped Poland,” warned Rafał Milczarski and Mikołaj Wild, experts involved in the project.
Tusk’s Team Makes Disastrous Decisions
The rejection of the #TakdlaCPK bill is not the only controversial move. One of the most shocking decisions of the new government was to replace private investors in CPK with the state-owned Polish Airports (PPL).
This decision not only weakens the project’s credibility in financial markets but also exposes it to allegations of illegal state aid within the European Union. “Private investors’ participation guaranteed that we were dealing with an investment that had a real return rate, rather than a political whim,” the official statement reads.
PPL lacks the expertise and experience necessary to manage such a vast undertaking. As a result, instead of a strategic project based on sound economic principles, we are left with an initiative that risks becoming another costly burden on Polish taxpayers.
“According to George Friedman, founder of the Stratfor think tank, sometimes referred to as a private CIA, the United States’ constant concern is to prevent the emergence of a power that could threaten the USA. The entire 20th century was a period of Washington’s rise to global leadership”, writes Tomasz Sakiewicz in Gazeta Polska.
“After World War I, the USA entered the global stage as a significant force, but it was still not considered a first-tier superpower.
It was only World War II that completely changed the situation. Colonial powers such as France and Britain collapsed, and Nazi Germany was destroyed. The United States and the Soviet Union remained on the battlefield. The USA led the free world, while the Soviets supported totalitarian regimes. Moscow’s power turned out to be illusory. Fortunately, the strength of both superpowers’ armies was never tested in direct conflict, but in economic competition, Red Russia suffered a crushing defeat and eventually collapsed. Beijing took Moscow’s place. China combined communist totalitarianism with a market economy, which gave it a 40-year development boost. That boost is now coming to an end.
In truth, China’s recent attempts to catch up with Washington were largely facilitated by the USA itself. Policies like the “Green Deal,” while China benefited from cheap Russian energy, prolonged a competition that China ultimately cannot win. I don’t know if, as Friedman suggests, China will break apart into wealthy port cities and a poor hinterland, or if it will simply enter a period of stagnation. However, India—already the world’s most populous country—is poised to take China’s place in the race for economic dominance. The competition between China and India may become so intense that the USA will have full control over shaping the global board.
That leaves the issue of Europe. The European Union remains the world’s largest market. It has half the population of China or India, but its citizens are several times wealthier. Whoever secures access to the European market becomes a global power.
The United Kingdom left the EU, but not entirely the European market. It is managing, albeit with some difficulties, thanks to its ties with the Commonwealth—the world’s largest informal political and economic organization. The UK’s exit from the EU clearly hurt two countries the most: the USA and Poland.
The United States lost an easy bridge into the EU, while Poland lost a key ally in any potential geopolitical game against Germany. The response to this was supposed to be the Three Seas Initiative, which positioned Poland as the main player in Central Europe and a key partner for the USA. However, all these plans fell apart with the toppling—ironically, with Biden’s administration playing a role—of Poland’s conservative government. Germany installed Donald Tusk, whose main task includes limiting American influence in the region.
If Donald Trump wants to regain a foothold in the European market and its politics, he must first correct the mistakes of his predecessor. Everything else will be mere illusion, even if Tusk follows through on purchasing some previously ordered American military equipment.
America can never be truly great without Europe, and without Poland, it can never have real influence in Europe.“
For years, millions of dollars flowed into Europe under the guise of “supporting democracy.” A significant portion was funneled into Poland, allegedly to destabilize conservative governments and build a powerful ideological network that influenced elections, media, and public opinion. Now, Donald Trump and Elon Musk have put an end to it.
The role of USAID—the U.S. agency that, instead of development aid, became a tool for financing a neo-Marxist revolution, undermining national sovereignty, and promoting gender ideology—has been brought to light. This issue was also the subject of an investigative report by journalist Marcin Bakalarski, aired on TV Republika.
The revelations come from former U.S. State Department official Mike Benz, who posted shocking claims on X. According to Benz, Donald Tusk’s government received direct instructions to find legal means to target PiS leaders and remove them from public life.
USAID and NED: Tools for Political Purges
USAID was not just an aid agency—it was a mechanism for interfering in the internal affairs of sovereign states.
In Poland, USAID funds supported projects such as “Latarnik Wyborczy” and “Młodzi Głosują,” allegedly manipulated to push voters toward liberal-left parties. But that was just the tip of the iceberg. Among the beneficiaries were media outlets and organizations like “Krytyka Polityczna,” “Gazeta Wyborcza,” OKO.press, and TVN.
USAID worked closely with the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), an organization that has long been involved in shaping internal policies in various countries, including Poland.
Benz exposed how “Journal of Democracy,” sponsored by NED, openly advised Tusk’s government to take action against PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński:
“The new government should focus on whether and how suspects can be held accountable for specific crimes. These cases may only be the tip of the iceberg. Naturally, the leader of Law and Justice, Jarosław Kaczyński, should be held responsible.”
There is no doubt—these organizations actively pressured the Polish government to eliminate conservative leaders under the pretext of “fighting populism.” This was a coordinated effort against a legally operating opposition.
“NED was originally founded under Ronald Reagan as a bipartisan tool to fight for democracy and against communism. It has since transformed into a leftist organization that no longer opposes communism but rather supports it in new forms,”
said American political analyst Ivo Bender on the program “Dzisiaj.”
Election Manipulation and Media Control
Foreign funds were directed toward initiatives designed to control Poland’s electoral process and influence public sentiment. Reports from tvtepublika.pl have already revealed projects like “Latarnik Wyborczy” and “Młodzi Głosują,” which allegedly skewed voter recommendations toward left-liberal candidates. While the full extent of the funding remains unclear, what has been uncovered suggests that certain Polish media outlets had significant influence over public opinion thanks to foreign financing.
“NED’s publications, like Journal of Democracy, have inspired these efforts to shape political outcomes,”
Benz stated.
Elon Musk went even further, calling USAID and its partners “criminal organizations,” claiming their real mission was not democratization but political manipulation—supporting leftist movements and eliminating conservative opponents.
The End of Foreign Influence: Panic Among Liberals
Donald Trump and Elon Musk took decisive steps to expose these operations and cut funding for USAID projects aimed at undermining conservative governments. This move caused panic among liberal organizations, including those in Poland, which suddenly lost access to millions of dollars. In response, media linked to these funds launched a wave of outrage, claiming this was an “attack on civil society.”
In reality, it was a decisive crackdown on foreign-funded activism and leftist propaganda. The era of external interference in Poland’s political landscape may finally be coming to an end.

A 21-year-old Nigerian citizen allegedly attacked another patron at a local gym in Katowice, according to the “Służby w akcji” social media profile, which reports on the activities of uniformed services. A video posted alongside the account’s report appears to show police detaining a Black man following the incident.
The alleged attack took place in the afternoon hours at an unspecified gym facility. “Służby w akcji” reports that police responded immediately and apprehended an agitated, aggressive man. The person he reportedly attacked was transported to a hospital for treatment.
It remains unclear what motivated the alleged assault. According to the post, the attacker used a training hammer in the course of the incident. Footage shared online suggests that at least six police officers were involved in subduing the suspect, who initially resisted arrest.
No official statement has been released by law enforcement about the suspect’s motives or the extent of the victim’s injuries. Further details, including the exact circumstances leading up to the incident, have yet to be confirmed. This is a developing story; updates are expected as more information becomes available.

TV Republika is reporting on a concerning incident that occurred on Tuesday afternoon near Lubieszyn on the Polish-German border.
According to Kamil Nieradka, a reporter for TV Republika:
“A German police car arrived, and two men in sanitary suits got out. Moments after they opened the door, a migrant emerged—wearing a green protective suit, glasses, and a face mask. The three of them then walked toward Poland.” Nieradka further explained that before crossing the border, one of the German officers indicated which way the migrant should go. The man, carrying a bag and a bundle of papers, proceeded into Poland, where Polish Border Guard officers and a single German policeman—this time without any protective suits—were waiting.
Shortly thereafter, the migrant “left the intervention site just three seconds later and headed toward Szczecin.” The reporter added that the man was neither detained nor taken to a detention center.
German Officer Allegedly in Charge
According to TV Republika, the operation on the Polish side was directed by a German officer. The event raises questions about cooperation and procedures between German and Polish services regarding migrants.
Three Key Questions
Jarosław Olechowski, head of TV Republika’s editorial team, posed three crucial questions about the incident on social media:
Are German officers stationed in Poland coordinating the transfer of illegal migrants from Germany to Poland?
Why was an illegal migrant allowed to enter Poland without any supervision, especially when there are indications he might have a contagious disease?
Why were Polish border guards not equipped with personal protective gear, given that the German officers who handed over the migrant were in protective suits, presumably aware of a potential infectious condition?
How Many Migrants Have Been Sent Back to Poland?
This is not the first incident on Poland’s western border involving the transfer of migrants from Germany into Polish territory. A few days ago, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated during a televised debate that deportations of migrants from Germany are “in accordance with the law,” adding that he had phoned “all the prime ministers of neighboring countries” to inform them they must accept this process. According to Scholz, this includes Donald Tusk in Poland.
Paweł Jabłoński, a former deputy foreign minister of Poland, remarked that conflicting data exist regarding the exact number of migrants sent back from Germany to Poland:
“There was a report indicating that Germany, in just one year, sent back 40,000 people to various countries. It’s unclear how many ended up in Poland, but Poland seems to take the lion’s share.” Meanwhile, Bogdan Rzońca, a Member of the European Parliament, suggested on social media that the figure could be as high as 12,000.
A report from the German Federal Police indicates that, from mid-September 2024 to the beginning of February 2025, German authorities either returned or sent back nearly 14,000 people at the border. The exact number who were transferred specifically to Poland remains unknown.
Poland, under Donald Tusk’s leadership—who once declared, “No one in the EU can outplay me”—has effectively committed (formally referred to as the “reception and examination of applications”) to accepting 7,820 illegal migrants in a single year (2027). This figure is more than four times the number Germany is expected to admit.
These startling details concerning the Migration Pact and Poland’s role in it were disclosed by MEP Maciej Wąsik (PiS-ECR). On his social media profile, Wąsik highlighted several key points:
European Commission Decision: On August 5, 2024, the European Commission issued Implementing Decision 2024/1348 related to the EU Regulation on establishing a common procedure for international protection (part of the migration pact). This decision outlines each member state’s share of responsibility for asylum applications.
Poland’s 5.2% Share: Poland will be responsible for 5.2% of all future illegal migrants arriving in Europe.
Paradoxical Calculations: According to Wąsik, the Commission’s calculations mean that the more effectively a country has defended itself against illegal migration in the past (by issuing negative decisions), the larger its future share of responsibility becomes.
Burden on Four Countries: Italy, Hungary, Spain, and Poland will shoulder the highest quotas for future migrants—together accounting for nearly 70% of migrants in all of Europe. Among these four, Poland will have the smallest share, yet it remains significant.
The Commission optimistically estimates that between June 2026 and October 2027, around 150,000 people may be affected. During that period alone, Poland would be obligated to handle and process 7,820 new illegal migrants’ applications—until October 2027. After that, the Commission is expected to issue a new decision, presumably with revised (and potentially higher) quotas.
Germany’s Lower Numbers: Meanwhile, Germany will only have to process 1,870 applications over the same period—much fewer than Poland. Wąsik cites Tusk’s earlier statement: “No one in Europe can outplay me,” implying irony in how the quota numbers have been assigned.
Danish Exemption: Denmark is the only country not bound by this particular decision.
Future Allocations After Polish Elections: The implementing decision on relocating migrants already present in Europe will be issued on June 12, 2025, just after Poland’s elections. How many migrants might Poland be required to accept from Germany, France, or Belgium then? That question remains open.
The overarching concern is whether the EU has outplayed Tusk—or whether Tusk has outplayed his own voters. Unfortunately, the consequences of this “being outplayed” may fall on all Poles.
Italian media giant Media For Europe-Mediaset is reportedly withdrawing from the bid to acquire TVN, leaving Polish bidders in the lead. Find out who remains in the race.
Media For Europe-Mediaset, owned by the Berlusconi family, is reportedly stepping back from its bid to acquire part of TVN’s assets, according to Reuters. The Italian media group was primarily interested in TVN’s terrestrial channels—TVN, TTV, and TVN7. However, sources indicate that Mediaset will now focus on other investment opportunities, leaving Polish contenders as the frontrunners in the acquisition race.
Polish Companies in the Lead
With Mediaset out, the competition to acquire TVN intensifies among local bidders. Two offers remain on the table: one from Polish billionaire Michał Sołowow and another from Wirtualna Polska, potentially linked to InPost CEO Rafał Brzoska. According to Reuters, the valuation of TVN could exceed €1 billion. As the sale process unfolds, Polish buyers appear to have the upper hand in securing one of the country’s leading media groups.
Ukraine’s new “Contract 18-24” program offers young adults voluntary military service with high pay, social benefits, and professional training amid ongoing war challenges.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has launched the “Contract 18-24” program, allowing young adults aged 18-24 to voluntarily enlist for a one-year military service contract. Participants will receive an annual salary of 1 million hryvnias (over 98,000 PLN), with an immediate bonus of 200,000 hryvnias upon signing. The program offers NATO-standard training, social benefits, zero-interest housing loans, free medical care—including dental prosthetics—and state-funded education. After completing their contract, participants can travel abroad and will be exempt from mobilization for 12 months.
Strengthening Ukraine’s Military Readiness
Defense Minister Rustem Umerov emphasized that “Contract 18-24” is not mandatory but provides young people with valuable combat experience and financial stability. The initiative comes amid U.S. pressure on Kyiv to lower the mobilization age from 25 to 18 to address troop shortages. However, Ukraine has stressed the importance of accelerating Western military aid instead of expanding conscription. Umerov highlighted that the Ukrainian army is evolving into a modern, professional force where every volunteer is a valued asset to national defense.
