President Duda honors Polish scouts, praising their role in national security and youth development during ZHR’s 35th anniversary.

During the 35th anniversary gala of the Polish Scouting Association (ZHR) in Krakow, President Andrzej Duda expressed gratitude and admiration for the scouts. Reflecting on his tenure, he stated, “I am ending my presidential service, but a scout remains a scout for life.” Duda lauded their dedication, recalling moments when their efforts proved vital in challenging situations.
Scouts as Guardians of the Nation’s Spirit
Addressing the gathered scouts, Duda emphasized their essential role in shaping Poland’s youth, citing, “Such will be the Republic as its youth’s upbringing.” He underscored that preparedness and moral strength, cultivated through scouting, are crucial for national security, even surpassing the importance of military assets.
Honoring Outstanding Contributions
The event included the presentation of state decorations to distinguished scout leaders. Recognized for their contributions to youth development and patriotism, recipients included Karol Siergiej and Michał Markowicz, among others.
President Duda concluded with a message of confidence and pride in the scouts, acknowledging their pivotal mission in safeguarding Poland’s future.
