President Duda Voted in the Presidential Election. A Call to Citizens Was Made

President Andrzej Duda, together with his wife Agata Kornhauser-Duda, cast their votes on Sunday afternoon in Kraków during the second round of the presidential election. “The President of the Republic needs a strong mandate, and that strong mandate comes from the voters,” Duda said after voting.

The presidential couple voted at polling station no. 72 on Porzeczkowa Street in Kraków. After leaving the polling station, Andrzej Duda encouraged all eligible citizens to take part in the second round of the presidential election, emphasizing that while it is a right, he also considers it a civic duty.

“I strongly urge and encourage everyone to find a moment and take Poland’s future into your own hands by making a decision. I’ve said this many times before, but I want to repeat it with even greater emphasis: the President of the Republic needs a strong mandate, and that strong mandate is given by the voters,” the president stressed.

He added that a high turnout in the presidential election is “also a message we send to the outside world, on the international stage.”

“Speaking from my own experience, I can say that a president elected with high voter turnout has a truly significant mandate—especially since the president is chosen in a direct vote, which is extremely important for the incoming head of state,” he said.

He also expressed hope that “if possible, it would be best for the winning candidate to achieve a clear victory, so that the result is unambiguous.”

Voting in the second round of the presidential election began at 7:00 a.m. and will continue until 9:00 p.m. The election silence remains in effect until the polls close.
