Before 12:00 p.m., the President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, arrived in Sulejów for the 21st Convention of Gazeta Polska Clubs. The head of state participates in a solemn Holy Mass, and afterwards met with club members and delivered a short speech.
Sunday marks the final day of the 21st Convention of “GP” Clubs in Sulejów. Today’s special guest is the President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki.
The President thanks the “Gazeta Polska” Clubs. “You were with me at every stage”
Karol Nawrocki recalled that he attended the “Gazeta Polska” Club conventions as a rank-and-file employee of the Institute of National Remembrance, later as the President of that institution, then as President-elect, and now as the President of Poland.
“I would like to thank you for always being with me. I always listened to your voice, I always confronted many ideas and concepts, sometimes constructive criticism”, said President Karol Nawrocki during the 21st Convention of “Gazeta Polska” Clubs.
During the presidential campaign, “Gazeta Polska” Clubs across the country organized and co-organized meetings, as their members strongly believed that he would become the new President of Poland – one who would say and demonstrate with every decision: “Poland first, Poles first”.
“It is somewhat American. Later, when I was a candidate, you supported me, and when I became President-elect, I was also with you as President-elect, and on August 6 you were with me at the swearing-in” – said Nawrocki.
He then appealed to members of the “Gazeta Polska” Clubs to support the head of state in implementing a concrete project with which they went into the elections together, and which was supported by 10.5 million Poles.
Another struggle is beginning, and we cannot slow down even for a second. I will not slow down as the President of the Republic of Poland, and the 21st Convention of “Gazeta Polska” Clubs directly recalls what we went into the elections with. 10.5 million citizens of the Republic of Poland voted for Plan 21, for a concrete plan of an ambitious Poland. This is what I spoke about during the election campaign – said the president at the 21st Convention of “Gazeta Polska” Clubs.
Karol Nawrocki pointed out that Plan 21 prepared for Poland must be implemented with full determination.
“A Poland that wants to have its own currency, that cares about its language, its history, its tradition and its identity – all of this is included in Plan 21”, he recalled.
“If this cannot be achieved with the current parliamentary majority, then it must be brought about so that there is such a majority that will support the president in building a strong and responsible Poland”, added Karol Nawrocki.
As the president emphasized, what is most important today is the solidarity and unity of people who love Poland, so that they can gather around the president and around the values that are important to them.
“What we need least today is quarrels within the patriotic community and rivalry. So let us stay together, move forward stronger and determined toward the Poland of our dreams – a strong, safe Poland, a Poland that is truly Poland”, concluded President Nawrocki.
