“See you at the parade. Goodbye!” said President Karol Nawrocki to the supporters gathered in front of the Field Cathedral. He also explained why he could not devote more time to them.
The Holy Mass for the intention of the Homeland marked the beginning of the Polish Armed Forces Day. President Karol Nawrocki attended it at the Field Cathedral. However, Prime Minister Donald Tusk was absent from this part of the official celebrations.
The next item on the program involving the head of state was the ceremonial changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
“Down to the minute”
After leaving the church, the President was greeted by supporters shouting to him. They also wanted him to come over for a brief chat. This time, Karol Nawrocki could not spare that time and briefly explained why.
“I have to go, because I have my schedule planned down to the minute today,” he said (showing the detailed plan – ed.), “but we will see each other at the parade” – and he raised his thumb in the air.
“See you,” he added, greeting the crowd.
