“As President of Poland, I guarantee that through legislative initiatives such as the Breakthrough Technology Development Fund, I will always support Polish entrepreneurs and always support the technological revolution,” Karol Nawrocki declared during the ElevenLabs Summit in Warsaw. He stated that Poland is ready to create new technologies and participate in the digital revolution.
“Today, Poland is ready not only to consume new technologies from around the world, although we are always open to international cooperation, but also, thanks to companies such as ElevenLabs, we are showing that we are ready to create new technologies and to participate in Industry 4.0 – the technological revolution that affects the entire world in the 21st century,” the president said during his speech at the ElevenLabs Summit held at Warsaw’s Grand Theatre – National Opera.
Karol Nawrocki pointed out that Poland is a leader in economic growth and has become the world’s 20th-largest economy, a position achieved in part thanks to the efforts of Polish entrepreneurs.
“In December of this year, for the first time as President of Poland, I will take part in a meeting of the G20. (…) This is thanks to entrepreneurs such as Mateusz and Piotr (Mati Staniszewski and Piotr Dąbkowski, the founders of ElevenLabs), who expand our economic potential and help make Poland a bastion of Western civilization in the technological sphere,” he emphasized.
The president also addressed concerns related to the development of artificial intelligence. He stressed, however, that he has no such concerns “when it comes to ElevenLabs and responsible Polish technology companies.”
“That is because I was one of the first institutional users of ElevenLabs as President of the Institute of National Remembrance. Ms. Director, now Minister responsible for new technologies, Magdalena Hajduk, together with ElevenLabs, helped restore the voices of Polish heroes,” Nawrocki said.
The president stressed that Poland and Europe must not abandon the path of technological development and strong transatlantic relations, “because this means an impulse for the Polish economy, but also our security.”
A Project Stuck in the Legislative “Freezer”
Nawrocki assured the audience that he would support entrepreneurs and the technological revolution through presidential legislative initiatives. He cited the proposed Act on the Breakthrough Technology Development Fund as an example.
The bill was submitted to parliament in September last year. According to information available on the Sejm’s website, it is intended to provide direct capital support to Polish companies developing strategically important technologies. Part of the fund’s budget would be allocated to financing research and development projects and strengthening cooperation between universities, industry, and public institutions.
Founded in 2022 by two Polish entrepreneurs, Mati Staniszewski and Piotr Dąbkowski, ElevenLabs has become a global player in the generative audio AI sector. The company develops artificial intelligence tools for the creative, publishing, and media industries. In 2024, its valuation was estimated at $3.3 billion.
