President of TV Republika Tomasz Sakiewicz under surveillance by Tusk’s security services? PiS MP: “I have no doubt”

“I have no doubt that the editor-in-chief of TV Republika is being surveilled by the security services and that this is being used for a brutal, primitive political game. Today the security services are being used for political warfare,” said PiS MP Bartosz Kownacki.

Surveillance of Tomasz Sakiewicz

In a conversation with a TV Republika reporter, Bartosz Kownacki said that in his opinion the president of the Strefa Wolnego Słowa (Free Speech Zone) media group is being surveilled by security services subordinate to the government of Donald Tusk.

“The editor-in-chief of your station is being surveilled by the security services and this is being used for a brutal, primitive political game. These are my reflections, my conclusions. You remember the recent photos from Monaco and what was going on then. Today the security services are being used for political warfare. They are not dealing with protecting Poles, with security, but with trying to destroy one editorial team or another,” he said.

Secret sitting of the Sejm. “A disgrace”

The PiS MP also referred to today’s closed-door sitting of the Sejm, saying that in his view it was “a disgrace.”

“It was the first secret-but-public sitting of the Sejm in history. Everyone knew what the prime minister was going to talk about. The prime minister was scaring people, saying that anyone who said anything at all could be thrown into prison,” he stated.

Asked about the vote on the presidential veto concerning the law on cryptocurrencies, he said: “The prime minister did not say anything that could persuade us to change our decision. What is more, I am convinced that if the prime minister wants there to be political agreement on this issue and for there to be good law, he should sit down with the president and the opposition to work out solutions that protect Poles.”

“Anyone who understands the cryptocurrency market even a little knows that foreign intelligence services or organized criminal groups will cope anyway, because they can launder this money regardless of whether these solutions are in place in Poland or not. It is hard to look for some hidden ulterior motive in the fact that the president is vetoing bad solutions that are harmful to Poles,” he declared.
