Prof. Przemysław Czarnek announced the “Kalisz Three”. Three out of 21 program points revealed

Three program points announced by Prof. Przemysław Czarnek in Kalisz concern ETS, the abolition of taxation on pensioners’ work, and raising the second tax threshold. These are to be the first decisions of the new government after the change of power following the parliamentary elections.

During a meeting in Kalisz, the candidate for prime minister, Prof. Przemysław Czarnek, began by saying that he would like to hear chants of his name primarily after winning the parliamentary elections. He recalled that less than 100 days have passed since the leader of Law and Justice (PiS), Jarosław Kaczyński, announced him as the future prime minister in a government formed by that party.

“After 100 days of awakening, we want to begin a new stage of the fight for Poland in Kalisz”, emphasized Prof. Czarnek. He admitted that after hundreds of meetings across almost the entire country, Law and Justice (PiS) “has a diagnosis” and “has found solutions”.

The “Kalisz Three” in Czarnek’s Plan

He announced the “Kalisz Three”, meaning three out of 21 program points that will be presented during seven meetings across Poland.

“We are leaving the ETS” was stated as the first point. Prof. Czarnek emphasized that this will be the first decision of the new Council of Ministers.

The next proposals concerned the work of pensioners. “Silver work” is a proposal aimed at enabling seniors to take up employment. Their earnings up to 2,500 PLN net are to be exempt from pension and disability contributions as well as taxes. He stressed that there are many pensioners who would like to take up additional work today.

The third proposal presented at the meeting was raising the second tax threshold to 180,000 PLN. In the case of joint taxation of spouses, it would amount to 360,000 PLN.
