“I encourage voters, employees of the arms factories in Bydgoszcz, to hold Donald Tusk accountable for what he says,” Bartosz Kownacki stated on TV Republika. The PiS MP questioned information regarding the SAFE program and argued that the publicly presented “map of cities” expected to benefit from the program is “pure propaganda by Donald Tusk.” He announced that the list raises questions about “who will benefit and who will not.”
Bartosz Kownacki was a guest on the program “W punkt” on TV Republika. During the interview, he referred to Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s statements about the SAFE program and to information concerning products of the Polish Armaments Group.
“There is a video here of a man who is today the Polish Prime Minister. He is praising the SAFE program here,” said the PiS MP, pointing to Bydgoszcz and the local arms factories.
“I am an MP from Bydgoszcz, and I encourage voters and employees of the arms factories in Bydgoszcz to hold Donald Tusk accountable for what he says,”
he said.
Kownacki also referred to specific products which, as he claimed, are being presented as financed under the SAFE program.
“First of all, he is lying; he is showing products such as Wizjer, Dragonfly, Piorun missiles, and I believe the Borsuk. These are supposedly products implemented under SAFE. None of them were implemented under SAFE. Many of them were completed during the time of Law and Justice and earlier, but no SAFE funds went toward them,”
he said.
He added that the list of projects is to remain confidential. “Since it includes products of the Polish Armaments Group, including those from the Bydgoszcz plants, I hope that the people who work at these facilities and live in these cities will later hold the Prime Minister accountable as to whether those products were actually purchased. Many will be surprised, perhaps that is why the list is secret, by what is and what is not on that list,” he stated.
The PiS MP also spoke about the “map” of cities expected to benefit from the SAFE program.
“There is a map showing which cities in Poland will benefit from the SAFE program. And I can say, knowing that list, that this is pure propaganda by Donald Tusk. It is a lie, and you will be very surprised as to who will benefit and who will not,”
he said on air.
