The area was cordoned off, and the police and bomb technicians were called to the scene. Firefighters additionally secured the perimeter. Tensions have been rising due to similar incidents. On Monday, the Government Protection Service took action in connection with a drone flying near the Belweder Palace and government buildings.

The activities have now concluded, and the Chancellery of the Sejm has issued a statement.

“On Tuesday morning, officers of the Marshal’s Guard noticed an unmanned aerial object of the model-aircraft type lying behind the Senate, in the park area outside the parliamentary complex. No entry of this object into the restricted airspace over Parliament was recorded. The competent services were notified without delay,” it was reported.

“Officers of the Marshal’s Guard together with the police secured the area and checked the object for any explosive threat. After determining there was no danger, the object was secured for the purposes of further proceedings,” the statement reads.
