“Work on a new National Security Strategy (SBN) has been underway since September 2025 within the BBN-MoD team. There has been progress and there have been twists and turns. But the work continues!” Sławomir Cenckiewicz responded to Mirosław Różański, consistently rejecting the previous document.
The issue concerns a document that had already been submitted to President Andrzej Duda. He refused to sign it, a position upheld by President Karol Nawrocki.
“In September last year, the then head of the National Security Bureau, Sławomir Cenckiewicz, stated that the government version did not meet contemporary challenges and that its adoption could complicate the defense planning process,” Różański noted on X.
Cenckiewicz responded to him. “Our strategist from the Senate has no idea what he is writing about – your green SBN has been in the trash since July 2025 thanks to President Andrzej Duda,” he wrote.
He emphasized that “the position of his predecessor has been upheld by President Karol Nawrocki”.
“Since September 2025, work on a new SBN has been ongoing within the BBN-MoD team. There has been progress and there have been twists and turns. But the work continues! I thank Minister Paweł Zalewski,” the former head of the National Security Bureau said.
